Uploading Files in Batches to Assets

You can upload files in two different ways. From the Navigation bar, you can select Media>Upload for user related content or you can select Application>Assets for website graphics and files (such as .js files). However, when using Media Factory, you can only upload one file at a time to Assets and therefore uploading all of the files you want to upload can become a lengthy process.

To upload multiple files to the Assets at one time, it is recommended that use one of the following desktop applications:

  1. Coda for Mac - http://www.panic.com/coda/
  2. NetDrive for Windows - http://www.netdrive.net/

This allows you to see Media Factory as a file system. You can then just drag and drop your files into the Assets folder.

To upload files in batch to Assets:

  1. Download, install, and run either Coda or NetDrive.
  2. In either Coda or NetDrive, create a new connection for Media Factory.

To create the connection, you will require the following information:

  1. Root URL:http://dav.filemobile.com
  2. Server: dav.filemobile.com
  3. Protocol: WebDAV
  4. Your Media Factory username and password

  1. Click Connect.
  2. Drag files from your computer directly to the Assets folder in Media Factory.
