New Spark Media Platform Help

Providing/Implementing Graphics

Graphics are generally provided by a client or a third-party agency. Depending of the Statement of Work, the client or the third party can provide a PSD with the graphics for Filemobile to implement or they can implement them.

Dimensions and instructions are found here:

  1. Design section of the Contest Documentation
  2. Design section of the Community Documentation

As mentioned in the documentation, you need to provide three things to the Filemobile development team:

  1. Sprites: provided in PSD format but should be saved as a PNG.
  2. Custom Images: for example headers or footers
  3. CSS Style guide: a document with basic colours and fonts to be used.

Note:  You could also provide a PSD if they would like Filemobile to edit them (if it is within the Statement of Work Agreement).

If the graphics are for Filemobile to implement, please discuss the best way to provide them. Here are methods to provide graphics:

  1. Basecamp: Upload the images (PNG, JPEG or other acceptable media) or videos on Basecamp.
  2. Media Factory: Upload images (PNG, JPEG or other acceptable media) or videos to Media Factory using the Asset Manager page (Applications>Assets).
  3. Email the images.

Note: The Platform Overview has a list of acceptable file types.

To change the CSS:

  1. In the Navigation bar, select  Application s> Applications.
  2. On the Applications page, s elect an application.
  3. Under Sections, click CSS Style sheets.
  4. Make changes depending on the needs of the project. Some paths might need to be changed in the CSS.

Note: The edited sprites PNG path should replace the current path in the CSS templates.

To change the graphics:

  1. In the Navigation bar, select Applications> Applications.
  2. On the Applications page, select an application.
  3. Under Sections, click Application templates.
  4. In the templates, change the path to the ones provided in the Application>Assets.
