New Spark Media Platform Help

Reports

Media Factory platform includes access to comprehensive reports and metrics so you can gain insights into your campaign and user data. Report types are organized into the following categories:

  1. Views
  2. Uploads
  3. Comments
  4. Members
  5. Bandwidth
  6. Storage
  7. Hourly Votes
  8. Vote Log

Views Reports

Pull a report that tallies the number of views received overall, or for any media item. Filter the report metrics using the parameters on the left menu

To access the Views report:

  1. Use the top navigation bar and select Reports > Views
  2. Filter the views report by channel, media type, moderation status and date range. By default, all categories are displayed (no restrictions), but you can update these selections to narrow the results that are returned

  3. Once you're all set, download the .csv file by clicking the arrow located in the upper right-hand corner of the graph view. In addition to view count for specific items, the .csv file includes the following media info: date added, title, description, owner username, owner first name, owner last name, channel the item belongs to, moderation status ("0" for unmoderated, "1" for approved, "2" for denied), upload location, votes, filesize, filetype ("1" for image, "2" for video, "3" for audio, "4" for text only), and unique media ID#

Microsoft Excel or Libre Office can open a .csv file to display a table with the exported data

Uploads & Comments Reports

Upload and Comments reports are found in the Reports sub-nav and are pulled using filters identical to Views Reports. The key difference being the graphs

Newsletter Opt-ins

When users register, you can give them the option to sign up for your company or contest newsletter. That list can be found in the Members Report .csv download under the column titled “opted-in”

Note: Depending on your registration form, there may or may not be an opt-in option. If you've enabled the opt-in option, then the number "1" in that column represents opt-ins, and the number "2" is the value for opt-outs. You can then use the email address column to populate your sender list
