Step 1: Create Channels

The Broadband Video application uses channels to organize content. Channels can be used to separate videos into categories, sub-categories and sub-sub-categories. For example, if you can have the top level be the TV show. The second level is then separated by season. And finally by episode.

To get this style of behavior, you'll need to create parent, child and grandchild channels. For example, we'll create a new channel and call it "My Police Drama". The name of the channel will also be the name displayed to your users, so make sure it's correct.

Now you can add a sub-channel called "Season 1". Create a new channel with that name. Now, the Shortname has to be unique. If you're expecting to have many shows have sub-channels with "Season 1", you'll have to add something to the Shortname to make it unique. In this case we'll change the short name to "my_police_drama_s1". The short name is never displayed to the user. The final step in creating this channel is to set the "parent channel" select field to "My Police Drama". This is make the "Season 1" channel a child of "My Police Drama" meaning "Season 1" will only appear when the user clicks on "My Police Drama".

You can repeat these steps for all the channel, sub-channel and sub-sub-channels you need to create
